Welcome Mat

The photos above are ones of a welcome mat designed to greet an Israeli immigrant upon his or her arrival into their newfound home on America. The hexagon shape is derived from the center of the Star of David found on the Israeli flag. They vary in size to represent the three basic religions within the country( Islam-green, Christianity-blue, and Judaism-yellow) and the strong belief in the omnipresence of God (Clear). The mat is designed to be placed above the threshold or alond the upper side post of the front door. This placement would resemble that of a Mezuzah, a traditional door piece that signifies God's peace and presence within a house.
