Process from CNNC Project

Throughout my process towards developing a concept, the goal became to combine structure of the space with the cultural differences and similarities of the people. I found interest in creating moments in unexpected areas and utilizing nature-like design elements.
With these ideas, I began to implement both small and large scale moments to amplify the space. Small moments included multi-color carpet and colored glass drop down ceilings. Larger moments happen in the mezanine that overlooks the cultural artwork applied to the roof tops of the different spaces and the second level outdoor area.
Every culture shares an experience and appreciation of nature. Natural elements used in my design include spaces visually united through glass panels, natural light from the many windows and skylights, mini built- in fountains in office walls and front entry, and lush greenery both outside and inside of CNNC space.
